Course Overview
ActivateWork’s Data Analytics course is a full-time, tuition-free program that teaches you how to collect, analyze, and present data to solve business problems. Through an array of interactive labs, captivating lectures, and collaborative projects, you’ll build foundational skills in analytics software and programming, gain hands-on experience with real-world projects, and develop the professional skills employers look for.
No college degree or prior data experience is required.
What You’ll Learn
- Mastering Microsoft Excel for data manipulation and analysis and creating impactful and interactive data visualizations and dashboards
- Read-only SQL programming for effective data handling, transformation, reporting, and analysis
- Power BI with DAX expressions for sophisticated data analysis and visualization
- Foundational data analysis processes for addressing quality issues and applying basic statistical techniques
- Exploring cutting-edge AI technologies to enhance outcomes
- Business problem-solving using real datasets
- Professional communication and presentation skills
You’ll graduate with a portfolio of projects and the confidence to speak the language of data in any business setting.

Required Pre-Work
To set you up for success, this course requires some self-paced pre-work before you begin. Pre-work ensures you’re comfortable with key tools and ready to hit the ground running.
- Before your interview: Complete the “Intro to Excel” course (~5–6 hours)
- Before your start date: Complete the “Foundations of SQL” course (~10–12 hours)
Both courses are free and online. We recommend starting early—even before your application is complete—to help you get familiar with key tech concepts and prepare for success.
